Job Description

Are you an experienced, creative and commercially aware web designer looking for a new challenge working in-house with a progressive company? A fantastic opportunity has arisen for a skilled website designer to join an in-house web team based in Poole, Dorset. They are a B2B direct marketer of health & safety and facilities management products with over 30 websites to maintain and develop.

This role will primarily focus on new business development and will reporting directly into the business development director.

Responsibilities of the website designer: 

  • Development and design of new online brands in line with business development launch plans
  • Day to day maintenance and website design
  • Development of graphics and banners to use within the website and development of campaign pages
  • Ensuring consistency of design and layout across multiple brands
  • Development of sales email templates and designs for automated marketing campaigns
  • Use of CMS to maintain web design across specialist brands
  • Work with in house Developers to develop and improve design functionality and integration within the CMS
  • Creation of infographics to support online product marketing across the group
  • Development of mobile and responsive designs in line with group wide mobile strategy
  • Work in conjunction with Business Development and Web Development to run usability and functionality A/B tests across all sites and provide updates
  • Development and implementation of usability and creative standards resulting from testing
  • Assistance in the planning of new website structures
  • Development of website content outside of CMS using HTML

Key Skills and Experience of the website designer:

  • Creative flair with strong design, branding and digital skillset
  • Aptitude in visual original ecommerce web design and layout
  • Experience of a commercial environment and transactional websites
  • Responsive design experience
  • Understanding of user journey/experience and how to design appropriately for this
  • Ability to convert `flat` designs into code
  • Photoshop experience
