Position Description

Be part of something exciting and join our client as a Development Leader to work on a critical Application Migration development programme. Due to the secure nature of the work, all candidates must hold UK enhanced SC status (or minimally be SC clearable). A degree of mobility across several sites also required.

Your future duties and responsibilities

We are recruiting for an experienced technical development team leader who is also able to take on the Scrum Master role required for an Application Migration development project with a key public sector client. The team leader will be required to manage a team of developers and liaise with individuals from the UX, UI, DevOps and test teams.

Required qualifications to be successful in this role

The successful development leader on this central government programme must offer core expertise in successfully delivering agile-based delivery projects, with a wide/broad set of technologies but most particularly Java 7 (this is the language the current application is written in), Struts, JBoss, Tomcat, Oracle9i. Tools of particular interest include Azure, Jira, Web front-end, general experience modernising legacy projects, best practice development (Waterfall, Agile, build, design, test, end-to-end), good client-facing and communication skills. Any previous experience gained in a Scrum Master role, REST APIs/integration, code versioning tools (Git/SVN) would be advantageous, and any knowledge of any of the following helpful - Javascript, CSS, HTML5, Bootstrap, JQuery, Node.js, Ajax, IE8, IE11, AngularJS, Grunt, Karma, Mocha, Chai, TDD/BDD, Selenium, code refactoring, and coding with responsive frameworks.
