Senior Portfolio Manager (x 2) , London, £50-55k - Soft Services – Facilities Management

Professional facilities management and building support soft services company, based in London and the South East. Due to continued growth and expansion, now looking to appoint a further Senior Portfolio Manager.  Outstanding reputation for customer service, innovation, quality and operational efficiency. 

Reporting to the Service Director, this is a highly client facing position, with direct reports including operations managers and subject matter experts, working on accounts of varying sizes - all based in London.  This is a role that offers exceptional longer term opportunities in regards to further career development.

The role:

  • Responsibility for ensuring organisational effectiveness by providing leadership to our operational functions; contributing the development and implementation of organisational strategies, policies and practices

  • To ensure strategic and business objectives as well as the values and behaviours of our business are embedded into practice

  • Deliver commercial and operational leadership through strategic management, growth of portfolio and development of staff

  • Take ownership and ensure we deliver our services compliant to standards (legal, ethical and best practice) for Health & Safety processes including RAMS, Audit, COSHH, PPE etc

  • Responsible and accountable for Customer Relationship Management and represent on all customer and service delivery matters

  • Project Management and mobilisation of contracts

  • P&L responsibility for contracts, setting and adherence to budgets

  • Responsible for Quality Standards and Quality of Services delivered on all Operational Contracts

  • Direct reports include Portfolio, Account and Support Service Managers

  • Demonstrate effective decision making with consistency whilst reconciling the competing needs for resources effectively and efficiently

  • Ensure KPIs are managed and achieved, and service standards are met

  • Provision of regular reports on SLAs and KPIs, and attendance at planned and ad hoc meetings with client representatives to ensure service delivery satisfaction

  • Development of line managers along with accountability for the training and development of operational staff in conjunction with HR and training colleagues

  • Continuous Improvement through the identification of commercial and/or service delivery innovations

    The candidate:

  • Confident challenging policies where improvement opportunities exist

  • 5 years in a similar client facing management role in the soft services / facilities management industry

  • Confident decision maker, team player, commercially astute

  • Communication skills are vital as are personal presentation whilst working closely with clients

  • Ability to act as both mentor and critic of operational activities under your portfolio

  • IOSH qualification (or similar)
