Job Description

Duties include:
- Prepare client financial statements for senior review
- Maintain bookkeeping records of client entities on a regular basis as required
- Review and supervise work performed by direct reporting line team members and provide support to Client Accounts Team Manager
- Provide ad-hoc valuations, reconciliations and other financial reports as may be required by clients
- Liaison with relevant parties, both internal and external, to obtain information to allow the preparation of financial statements and returns
- Provide accounting support and/or be first point of contact to internal parties
- Prepare in good time VAT, statutory and other returns for senior review
- Ensuring service standards and company policies and procedures are adhered to
- Use best judgement to highlight and report significant matters to Senior Administrators and/or Management
- Maintain exceptional levels of service across the portfolio at all times 
- Support existing client relationships as required
- Ensure all tasks within assigned portfolio of clients are completed in accordance with the Accounts Task Calendar or statutory requirements

Skills and experience required:
- Hold a recognised professional qualification in accounting, i.e. ACCA, ACA    
- A number of years' experience in a related financial services environment with prior experience of managing people
- Good understanding of accounting and VAT principles and how they apply to client circumstances
- Possess excellent communication skills and “people awareness” combined with the ability to establish productive working relationship with teams
- Experience of one or more related accountancy software packages
- A good understanding of trust and corporate services and their practical applications
- A good awareness of IOM and UK tax implications/IOM Companies Acts
- General working knowledge of Anti Money-Laundering and other current compliance legislation
- A basic understanding of banking procedures and practices
- A working knowledge of relevant computer applications
- A working knowledge of all relevant internal and external procedures, policies, regulations and guidelines
