Job Description

The Payroll Manager’s key responsibilities are:

  • All payroll related matters and processing  it through the payroll system ADP
  • Ensure that all legal requirements from HMRC are adhered to
  • Administer pension scheme contributions
  • Ensure PAYE returns, P11D and P46 reports are completed
  • Generate management reports e.g. headcount, costs
  • Produce annual renewal data for permanent health insurance (PHI)

This critical role requires a Payroll Manager who is able to handle sensitive confidential information and meet deadlines.  Skills required are:

  • Solid background of running a large payroll
  • Excellent numeric and critical reasoning skills
  • Ideally a formal qualification in payroll e.g. CIPP (Chartered Institute of Payroll Professionals) or International Association of Book-keepers (IAB)
