Job Description

Our well-established client based in Abingdon, Oxfordshire are looking for a Manufacturing Technician to add to their successful company.

As a Manufacturing Technician you will mainly be responsible for (but not limited to) the following:


  • Manufacturing, test and validation of our client's products

Key Interfaces

  • Operations Team


  • Deliver allocated manufacturing projects on-time and to-specification

Key Tasks

  • To assemble, build and test machines to agreed schedule
  • To work on multiple manufacturing projects as required
  • To maintain comprehensive and accurate records of all work in formats required
  • Fault finding

Key Skills

  • Three-phase, single-phase and low voltage wiring
  • Panel wiring experience
  • Ability to read, understand, build to, and fault-find, using wiring schematics and circuit diagrams
  • Ability to read, understand, build to, and modify, using mechanical drawings, instructions, and BOMs
  • Ultimately - to test, fault-find, prove & validate electrical automation and mechanical functionality
  • Electrical safety testing experience (advantage)
  • Familiarity with IT: LAN/WAN/IP Configurations (advantage)
  • Pneumatics (advantage)
  • Vacuum technology (advantage)
  • Ability to work to agreed project programme, i.e. project deliverables on time
  • Microsoft Office (working knowledge of Excel and Word)

Desirable Qualifications

  • Engineering HNC or above
  • Appropriate City and Guilds qualification

  • Specialist projects as agreed with the line Manager to support the business requirements of the organisation
  • In addition, the Manufacturing Technician/Engineer will carry out any other reasonable duties requested
