Job Description

M&A PE Associate UK
Qualified 2-3 yrs PQE | Budapest based, Regional role

Our client is a leading global law firm
and a top 10 firm in terms of Global Elite Brands.  The firm represents
leading corporations, financial sponsors, financial institutions and
governments in virtually every area of law that affects cross-border business,
including transactions, arbitration and litigation.  Known for its agility
in emerging markets, this firm is expanding to tap new opportunities and one of
the most intriguing global law firm brands of today.

The firm has significantly increased its
rankings in key league tables for legal advisors on M&A transactions in
CEE/SEE, reaching the top spot for Eastern Europe. As a CEE leader with a
significant and award winning Budapest
office, you would be joining a
pivotal advisory hub servicing the new M&A upsurge in the CEE/SEE
region.  To fit this team you should be UK qualified with a strong commercial background to be
active in corporate and transactional work.   You will have 2 -3 years’ experience
in a similar role. Top tier M&A experience essential, exposure to private
equity is advantageous.

Your experience will have been gained
from a leading law firm in a major market (in particular in London).
Other locations can be considered as well given the relevant experience, deal
exposure and top notch mentoring that this firm prioritizes as the criteria of
choice. There is the possibility to consider an Australian qualified lawyer who
worked in M&A/PE in Australia and will very shortly become UK
qualified.

You should be able to demonstrate strong
organizational and communication skills. You will possess strong technical
legal skills, particularly in drafting. You will commit to investing time and
energy required to provide clients, Partners and senior lawyers in the team
with a superior level of service.

Your fluency in written and spoken
English is essential as you will regularly handle documentation in English.
