Job Description

We are proud to announce that we are recruiting a German Speaking Regional Export Sales Manager ideally with metrology experience on behalf of our local clients who have a rich history in engineering. They are a multi national organisation with a 1st class reputation for investing in both cutting edge technology and their people. 
The main purpose of the role would be to  understand, plan and implement complimentary export strategies consistent with the overall aims and requirements 
Key responsibilities for the German Speaking Export Sales Manager include; 

  • Plan and implement export activities consistent with overall aims and requirements 
  • Ensure strategically aligned plans for the development of new and emerging markets
  • Utilise technical knowledge and sales skills in order to provide pre-sales applications support to export distributors
  • Monitor, record, analyse and report on activities, trends, results making recommendations relating to export activities
  • Plan and manage overseas sales through distributors and other relevant sales outlets
  • Negotiate contracts for sales/purchases and manage renew
  • Review contracts as required to enable effective trading and operations 
  • Coordinate export sales project requirements
  • Prepare and submit applications reports and technical quotations
  • Meet regular sales targets and analyse product group performance
  • Manage/liaise with stock control, warehousing and distribution activities Investigate, plan and implement strategically effective and relevant transport methods
  • Be committed to undertake extensive / regular travel to successfully execute business requirements

The ideal German Speaking Regional Export Sales Manager will need; 

  • Fluent in both English and German languages, written and verbal.
  • Educated to degree level
  • In possession of a mechanical Engineering background with metrology experience preferred 
  • Proven track record in building new business within various sales channels
  • Proven success in growing incremental sales of branded B2B / Industrial goods
  • Ability to recognise sales trends and recommend trade solutions to deliver incremental sales
  • Flexibiltiy for regular UK & International travel (minimum of 20% to 30% is anticipated) 
  • Full UK Valid Driving Licence
  • Demonstrable knowledge of Consumer and Trade marketing in designated market
  • Knowledge of Trade Marketing with all trade channels advantageous
  • Experience of managing a budget, KPIS and strategy planning
  • Results driven with strong leadership and people management skills     
  • Hours 38.25 per week
