Permanent, Full Time Position
The Role and Candidate
Experienced in dealing with high volumes of work in a private practice environment, the ideal candidate will join the firm and "hit the ground running", having experience of all aspects of commercial property. Experience of residential property would also be a distinct advantage. They will ideally have knowledge of the surrounding area and will be able to bring a following or contacts with them. Business development and networking will be an integral part of the role, and so they should be motivated and keen to grow the firm's commercial property department further.
This role has arisen due to an increase in the workload within the department and there are big plans for future expansion. The workload will consist of:
- Advising on the sale and purchase of business premises
- Acquiring, assigning and renewing business lease on behalf of clients
- Negotiating license agreements for businesses
- Rent reviews and break clauses in commercial leases
- Advising on planning laws and related commercial property development issues
- Representing clients in possession proceedings
