Job Description
Reporting to the Audit Partners, the Audit Manager will manage audit and assurance assignments, along with building and maintaining client relationships for a diverse portfolio of clients. This, in turn, will contribute to the continued success of the audit team and maintain the company’s reputation for technical excellence and a responsive service to clients.
Within this role, the day-to-day responsibilities will include:
- To manage the audit process for clients in accordance with audit procedures ensuring that the client’s requirements are met, through liaison with other areas of the business when required
- To assist in other audit related tasks as required
- To manage, train and assist other audit team members
- Contribute to financial performance of audit team in terms of budgets, target fees and chargeable time
- Assist in business development
- Networking opportunities will be available
Client satisfaction is paramount and the ability plan and execute procedures effectively is key within this role.
The successful candidate will satisfy the following:
- ACA or ACCA qualified
- Good IT Skills, including outlook, excel word and accounting packages
- Knowledge of charities and experience working with charities is an advantage
- Good knowledge of UK GAAP, IFRS and Auditing Standards
- Working knowledge of Pro-Audit desirable and Digita products
- Ability to manage your own time and work well under pressure
- Take a genuine interest in the clients and have a desire to put them first
- Be one of a team of managers with day-to-day responsibility for managing the audit process and client relationships for a portfolio of exciting audit clients
- Have strong communication skills to interact with other audit staff, other specialist teams within the firm and externally with professional contacts and clients
- Possess good time management skills and be able to adapt to changing conditions to meet deadlines
- Have strong technical accounting knowledge, an eye for detail and IT literacy
- Demonstrate good judgement of risk and be commercially minded
- Be a team player that is willing to motivate and development junior staff and contribute to team meetings
