Electronics Engineer / Applications (Support) Engineer 

Salary £30,000 to £37,000 

An Engineering career with progression opportunities has become available within a well established and respected Manufacturing and Engineering business, where your contribution to the business will be significant and recognised within this customer focussed role.  

This is an additional role due to company expansion, and on-site training will be provided within all aspects of the system to enable you to provide application testing, support, installation, customer training and contribute to the design of our clients' production solutions which incorporates hardware, software and electronic components.

The role:

Provide support from component level through to software and hardware
Problem solving and trouble shooting PCBs, Hardware, software and systems
Commissioning and installation on factory floor at client sites
Liaising with and providing product support and training to Production Teams and Senior Level Staff
Creating training materials and user guides
Provide consultation to customers to problem solve and provide additional solutions
Provide remote support via email, phone and skype
20% travel to South East Asia, Europe and US 

The person suitable for this role will have most of the following attributes:

Degree or HND Qualified Electronics Engineer 
2 plus years of experience working within an Electronics Engineering role 
Excellent people skills 
Accurate written skills
Problem solving and fault finding electronic equipment to component level
Knowledge of high power semi-conductor fundamentals
Second language would be advantageous but not essential
Able to travel overseas to mainly Asia which may involve weekends

Working Hours:
37.5 hour week Monday to Friday with some weekend travel
