A social/education technology start-up business in Oxford is revolutionising the way that schools, parents and advertisers can communicate. Having recently secured a significant capital investment through crowdfunding, this exciting tech start-up are looking to further enhance their reputation through the introduction of an ambitious Sales Executive.
When walking into the office you will be greeted with a sea of smiles, a fresh cup of coffee and Kenzo’s youthful exuberance (the team mascot and puppy!). Launched in late 2015, these guys provide a ‘virtual school gate’ where parents can openly share contact details; arrange and pay for events, manage fundraising, coordinate social activities and exchange information about homework or even items for sale. Since their inception, rapid growth continues to set the trend, signing up hundreds of schools across the UK while boasting outstanding feedback from parents, PTAs and headteachers alike.
Because the product is free to parents and free to schools the development of the advertising sales is pivotal to the scope of the business. You the Sales Executive will be a vital cog in the machine so you need to be hungry to push the boundaries. Reporting to the Commercial Manager, you will take ownership of the whole process – from finding a great lead to closing the sale and proactive account management. You will have guidance on direction but if you are looking for a position tele-selling your way through a database this isn’t the job for you! You will recognise that you get out what you put in and won’t shy from working hard to achieve targets.
Interested, but don’t hold sales experience? Fear not! Personality is king. Sales experience is merely desirable but we are looking to speak to creative’s who recognise that articulate professionals with dynamism and flair and the occasional dose of eccentricity making a real contribution to an independent start up with BIG ideas are valued.
