Job Description

Our client is an award winning events and networking brand that has been pushing amazing new ideas and concepts across the South Coast and into London. With success has come growth and there is now a need to bring in an experience professional and personable Partnership Account Manager. The position is permanent and home based.
 
The successful candidate will be an autonomous team player who wants to create their own success in a growing sector.
 
Using your character and personality to create corporate relationships that add value to your client’s businesses both in strategy and planning. You will have licence to be creative and offer bespoke events / networking to your members.
 
Specifically, you will manage 4 regions, (with 12 membership clients in each), for their B2B networking events.
You will be in charge of organising and setting up networking events and venues based on your membership client requests and membership package core offer. This will range from liaising with and or sourcing the venue/experience for partner events. Organising all event prep including agenda, invite creation, guest names from clients, key note speakers, planning agenda and discussion topics as well as introducing external business contacts that the regional membership would want to connect with.
There are planned events throughout the year such as golf, gala dinning etc. It will be your job to make sure that all 48 client members are kept informed of all existing and new networking events, any logistic implications and client attendance, and more importantly client engagement.
You are looking to make sure that the events have a professional work angle which is where the external speakers and business effecting discussion points comes into play. However, you are also there to make sure that all client members are engaged in the activity so that they can gain opportunities through the external business contacts (guests) that are invited. As these external business contacts would be within companies that the client members see as key business partner opportunities.
You will attend all board meetings and events for the 4 regions and will contribute to future partnership strategies and plans by carrying out quarterly reviews with each client face to face where there is no board meeting or partner event. The quarterly review process means you would discuss the partnership benefits to the client members over the last quarter, agree outcomes and objectives for the next 3 months. Document the evidence and provide continuous feedback as and when tasks are completed.
Working hours are Monday to Friday 9-5, however due to networking events you may need to start earlier or finish later to accommodate. However, the time can be taken back through the rest of the day, anything outside of the networking events or client meetings (which are all face to face), will require you to work from home rather than travelling to the office every day, to give you a better work life balance.
There is no new business development, or cold calling, 100% client / account management role.
 
Knowledge and Skills:
You should be an accomplished Account Manager and must have worked within a B2B / corporate role with exposure to senior managers and or business owners.
Experience of business networking either as an organiser of such meetings or having been an attendee is highly desirable.
You must have account and or client management experience and be able to demonstrate where you have built relationships with new and existing business clients.
You must have a professional telephone and face to face manner, as you will be dealing with business owners and senior management executives.
You should be able to demonstrate effective time management skills be, driven and self-motivated as you can be working from home.
 
You should have very good business knowledge and acumen, having dealt with business owners, senior executives / management in previous roles.
 
Ideally you will have experience of attending board meetings and compiled corporate briefs, appreciating the need for confidentiality and able to explain the benefits of a non-tangible product and ROI.
 
You will be able to demonstrate that you have built corporate partnerships and relationships that have proven to last and added value.
 
Ideally you will have used a CRM system previously and can explain the value of a CRM.
 
You must be able to handle conversations around business needs, profit, loss, return on investment at board meetings etc.
An events or networking degree would be an ideal match; however, it is not essential.
Finally, you must have a full UK driving license and your own transport.

Basic salary will be up to £25,000 per annum. In addition to the various benefits your mileage will be reimbursed at 25 pence per mile.
