Our client is an award pub company operating a number of sites in the South East.
All of our client’s pubs are based in the south east and form a successful part of an expanding multi award winning pub group where everything is prepared on site using the best ingredients, local where possible, using carefully sourced suppliers.
They are growing their business and looking for talented Head Chefs across the group with flair and ambition, who can develop and inspire their teams to produce great results. The positions are permanent
Your role will be to head the team in all aspects of the kitchen including training, gross profit margins, stock control and Health and Safety and hygiene.
You will be a great team player with good organisational skills and the ability to thrive in a very busy award winning pub where our client’s reputation for consistently preparing cooking and presenting our dishes to the right quality is second to none.
You will be expected to create and develop the best teams.
You will set the highest standards of food quality and consistency.

Knowledge and Skills:
You should be an accomplished Head Chef / Chef Manager ideally with experience of working in a fresh food kitchen at a similar level.
Your practical experience should ideally be supported by some form of catering qualification.
Alternatively, as our client is supportive to the ex-military community, our client welcomes applications from Chefs at all levels who are either about to leave the Armed Forces or who have trained and served as a Chef in the Armed Forces.
You should have a passion for producing the perfect dish every time.
Previous experience in a similar role requiring a broad food knowledge and precise attention to detail is essential.
You should have worked in a busy kitchen and thrive under pressure.
You must have experience and desire to work with fresh, quality food.
You should possess ambition to continually drive the business forward.
You will be an excellent team player and leader who can respectfully communicate to the team.
You will have a track record of working with and developing strong teams.
You will have good financial understanding and have a track record of controlling costs and stocks.
You will have good knowledge of hygiene and health and safety.
You should possess a lot of stamina/energy to keep up to speed during occasional hectic spells of business.
You should have a desire to aim for high standards.
You should be reliable, hardworking, trustworthy and passionate in your work.
Standard working week is 45 hours working 5 shifts a week.
Basic salary will be negotiable depending upon your experience. In addition, you will receive tips which will be worth around £80 per week. In addition, there is a monthly bonus scheme.
