Job Description

Unix Engineer

 

Location: Can be based full time from home and/or at our Bristol, Bridgend or Leatherhead offices

To £50K plus extensive flexible benefits package

 

This role has DV clearance as mandatory due to the highly secure nature of the work. To apply, you must currently hold SC clearance at minimum and be willing and able to undergo the UK's vetting process to DV level.

 

Your future duties and responsibilities

This key role requires a reliable, resourceful person, capable of showing initiative, with appropriate skills and the ability to work both as part of a team and independently. The successful applicant is required to follow standard procedures which are regularly audited to maintain external quality standards accreditation.

  • Excellent technical knowledge of UNIX and in particular Linux (RedHat), Solaris, AIX required
  • Excellent communication skills and team working skills are essential
  • The ability to work effectively under pressure, whilst ensuring service availability within the key environment is essential
  • High level of interpersonal/client facing skills
  • Ability to assist and work on change and transition activities
