Job Description

Our client, a  friendly, well established company in Newbury, is looking for an experienced Technical Support Engineer to join them on a permanent basis. Starts ASAP.

Job Role:

  • Talking to customers on the phone and helping them with what information they require
  • Visiting customer sites to help resolve equipment issues
  • Assisting engineering team with commercial installations, which may involve occassional overnight stays
  • Creating technical documents and powerpoint presentations
  • Organising and keeping the technical diary up to date
  • Creating support documentation for engineers and customers

Key Skills Required:

  • Must have practical experience with electro-mechanical machinery with a good understanding of electrical circuits
  • Good practical skills working with tools and mechanical components on machinery
  • Good Microsoft IT skills
  • Good communication skills on the phone
  • Attention to detail and accuracy is critical so must be a perfectionist by nature
  • Have a polite, friendly yet assertive telephone manner when speaking to customers and field sales engineers
  • Must be a team player
