Working as a Contracts Coordinator for this specialist civil engineering groundworks division of multi-disciplinary PLC contractor. They have long industry pedigree, have stayed focused on local groundworks, earthworks and small civils projects in Bristol & South West, primarily servicing major homebuilders. They are ‘family feel’ and you will be the link pin between supportive commercial and technical teams working on pre and post construction.

The newly created Technical Assistant position where you will work closely with Technical Directors and commercial team ensuring projects are delivered according to drawings and specifications on program & within budget in Bristol & South West. The successful candidate will coordinate drawings, method statements & risk assesments RAMS, review site plans and construction programmes, monitor progress and report, coordinate signage, design traffic management schemes, prepare maintenance schedules, conduct toolbox talks, attend site meetings, liase with site engineering teams throughout, update document libraries and disseminate information as required, report/respond to H&S alerts, vet & control subcontractors, ensure sampling & QA rigour, prepare maintenance schedules, ensure final adoption, plus assistance to other departments including procurement & customer service.

You will have

Great organisation and communication skills. Previous experience in civil contracting, consulting engineering, groundworks or related sector. Ideally HNC / HND or degree educated, SMSTS accredited and carrying CSCS Card. Ideally having knowledge of relevant Local Authority sections e.g 38,50, 104, 106, 278 and aspects such as sewers for adoption. Also Good attitude, integrity and work ethic. Plus decent IT skills in MS Office & industry specific software.
