Job Description
PURPOSE: The Supply Chain Procurement Officer Indirects will provide a full indirects management service to the Regions and Countries organisation and achieve the service, delivery and cost requirements targets of the Business.
Responsibilities: Health and Safety
To be familiar with, and act in accordance with, all relevant health and safety management legislation.
Responsibilities: Quality Management
To be familiar with, act in accordance with, and help develop the company quality systems rules, regulations and policies.
To liaise with SCM for supplier auditing.
To ensure that full traceability of all Supply Chain and Operational related activities
Responsibilities: Procurement & Supply Process
- Business fleet which currently stands at 250 vehicles.
- Business Fuel cards
- Fleet Insurance
- IT Hardware
To provide Operational support to the Regions and Countries in respect of Operational Indirect Commodities, to include but not limited to Communications, IT Hardware, Indirects across a number of UK locations.
To act as the operational interface between xxx and its providers of services.
To act as the operational interface within xxx for Fleet, IT, Communications and selected other indirects.
To report monthly on service KPI’s for those commodities under their control.
To deal with supplier invoice queries as required
To support the culture of continuous improvement to deliver an ongoing and sustainable improvements in supply chain.
Responsibilities: Performance
Ensure the allocated indirects are managed in the most cost effective way for the business.
Ensure relevant metrics, reports and action plans are produced and maintained to drive improvement activities.
To continually strive for optimal performance in all aspects of the supply chain including, but not limited to delivery, lead-time, and total cost.
Responsibilities: Corporate
To co-operate with other UK locations in order to achieve their service requirements.
To interface with Global Strategic Procurement where necessary.
Responsibilities: Sourcing & Supplier Management
To manage the sourcing and tendering activities and process as required for Indirect activities, respecting the company’s competitive position and intellectual property.
To support and participate in, as required, supplier development programmes for key suppliers to ensure optimal performance in areas including service delivery performance, inventory, lead-time and quality.
To maintain accurate information regarding suppliers, and their performance, to support continuous improvement and the decision making process to both the company and corporate purchasing & supply activity.

To support the other members of the company Supply Chain team, providing experience, knowledge to support other team members in meeting their objectives
To actively drive their own personal development & agree their current and future training and development needs.
To manage the use all resources including systems & tools within their disposal, in order to achieve the maximum efficiency.
Responsibilities: Analytical and Data
To maintain accuracy of all data within the respective IT systems pursuant to the purchase of materials and suppliers information.
To continually maintain and improve the supplier, purchasing data in the Company ERP system.
To support and maintain a data repository to refer to in future sourcing & selection activity.
