About the Role

Within our client the Operations business group provides the technical expertise to collect, maintain, refine and disseminate the core geospatial data which underpins our products and services. This data is acquired from a variety of sources including our own data collection capability, commercial organisations who are contracted to supply data to our specifications, and third parties who can provide data which complements or enhances our own.

The role of the Supply Chain Manager is fundamental in helping identify these sources, define requirements and scope the range of services required, as well as configure supply chains in such a way that they are capable of delivering data and services in a highly productive, efficient and predictable manner. Developing and maintaining good relationships with all parts of the supply chain is the key to not only delivering today’s requirements, but in ensuring we retain the capability and capacity to provide the data collection services of the future.

As Operations is seeking to increase the range of data and services it provides, both within Great Britain and overseas, this is an exciting opportunity to help shape the future direction of our business.

About You

We are looking for an individual who has:

  • A proven track record of building and managing supply chains, especially those focussed on delivering data and services

  • Excellent relationship management skills to build strong and enduring relationships and work collaboratively with both internal and external teams

  • Excellent organisational, communication and interpersonal skills

  • A strong programme delivery focus

  • Very good analytical and problem-solving ability

  • Good planning and project management skills

  • A good understanding of risk management

  • The ability to lead and manage a team

  • A willingness to travel and work overseas as necessary

  • A good knowledge of geospatial data collection techniques and methods would also be advantageous
