Software Developer (Open Source)


London, Leatherhead, Luton, or Reading

To £65K plus extensive flexible benefits package


You will be expected to travel to client sites and other offices as necessary but with the flexibility to work remotely as well to ensure a good work/life balance.


Due to the nature of the role all candidates must either already hold or be willing and eligible to hold UK Security Clearance to at least SC level.


Your future duties and responsibilities

As an Open Source full stack Software Developer you will be joining one of our busy development teams working on a prestigious digital modernisation project for one of our key Government clients. You can be based in London, Leatherhead, Luton or Reading and will work from there, our Leatherhead office, and also on client sites in Central London as necessary (travel costs away from your base office will be covered). There is opportunity for some home working as well in a typical week. You will work collaboratively with other developers with plenty of interaction and opportunities for career development. This is a great opportunity to join a key team.


Required qualifications to be successful in this role

To join us as an Open Source Software Developer you will need to have strong, demonstrable, skills across the full stack in multi-tiered transactional systems. Proven experience with AngularJS and SQL is essential along with some or all of the following;

  • Node.js and GraphQL, or
  • Java EE 7 or 8, or
  • .NET 4, ASP.NET, VB.NET, or C#


Ideally you’ll also have worked with some of the following: Docker, Git, gulp, Bootstrap, RabbitMQ or other AMQP message brokers. Any experience of modern multi-tier design patterns, micro services, PL/SQL, or Windows App Development would also be useful but is not essential.
