SharePoint Designer / Office 365 Consultant

£35-40k + benefits including pension and gym membership

This is a "vibrant, fast paced technology company who offer friendly and professional IT Support, Services and Solutions to businesses across Surrey, Berkshire and Hampshire", they bring corporate technology to the SME market – specialising in providing technology solutions from the major global brands (such as Microsoft, HP and Cisco).


Based in modern, bright and stylish offices in Camberley, this is an at times demanding environment to work in, but genuinely satisfying and great fun.


Based within the Cloud Services team, the SharePoint Designer / Office 365 Consultant duties include (but are not limited to):


  • SharePoint installation, upgrades and migration from on-premise to cloud (O365)
  • Migration of user or network data to SharePoint Online and OneDrive and the implementation of additional collaboration tools
  • Design and development of advances/customised O365 Team sites
  • Implementation of O365, Azure AD and SQL solutions for clients


  • Support, configure and perform bug fix and/or enhancements to existing SharePoint sites
  • Optimise SharePoint sites - Fast Search Implementation, Security, Active Directory Integration


  • Carry out design workshops, design documentation production, solution presentations, defining project and business requirements (Statements of Works), scoping and integrating with existing systems
  • Implementation and Development of PowerApps solutions on Office 365 environments, including the developments of Apps for Mobile platforms (iOS and Android)
  • Create workflows using tools such as SharePoint designer and Microsoft Flow
  • Create custom dashboards and reporting tools using PowerBI
  • Identifying and implementing commercially viable development and/or application customisation and configuration opportunities for a large and growing client base
  • Communicating professionally and effectively with clients

New Technology:

  • Act as the Subject Matter Expert for O365 within the organisation and ensure everyone is kept up-to-date with the latest releases and enhancements on O365
  • Work with the marketing team to create content or user instructions that communicate details of the latest O365 enhancements and releases


SharePoint Designer and Office 365 Consultant, Experience & Skills:

  • Proven previous experience in a SharePoint Designer and PowerApps Development role
  • An in-depth understanding of the Office 365 platform
  • Knowledge of available SharePoint tools and add-ons
  • Commercial awareness
  • Ability to build high-level complex workflows within SharePoint Designer and Flow
  • Understanding of O365/Azure licensing
  • Ability to explain information in a professional and appropriate manner to clients of differing levels of technical knowledge, from a wide variety of different industries
  • Ability to work and remain calm under pressure
  • Demonstrate accuracy and attention to detail in work, and a desire to ensure the highest standards are maintained
  • Ability to schedule tasks, meet deadlines, work unsupervised and set/follow procedures
  • Microsoft Certified Qualifications (desirable)
  • Knowledge of additional programming languages (desirable)
  • An understanding of current business solutions (HR, CRM, Facilities Management etc.) (desirable)
  • API Integration skills (desirable)
  • Full Driving License – this role requires travel to client sites in the Surrey, Hampshire, Berkshire areas (and occasionally further afield/overseas) – pool car/vans are provided
