Job Description

St Christopher’s Hospice is a charity which raises significant funds each year through the generosity and commitment of local communities. They are now looking for a Senior Community Fundraiser to join their successful team.

This is a fantastic opportunity to join this great organisation to help raise money through events and activities in the local communities.

The role:

  • To actively engage with local groups and organisations
  • Keep raising the profile and deliver talks about the work of the hospice
  • Develop a programme to build support groups across the five boroughs supported by the hospice
  • Develop and maintain a programme of attendance at local events
  • Research third party events and submit applications for St Christopher’s to be selected as the beneficiary charity for these events
  • Project manage third party events and recruit volunteers to support these
  • Consistently provide quality service
  • Be available to do some evening and weekend work

Candidate Criteria:

  • Of graduate calibre
  • Preferably from a fundraising background
  • Ability to take responsibility and be accountable for tasks and actions
  • Be self-motivated with an aptitude for problem solving
  • Be a team player with the ability to establish and build effective relationships         
  • Have a commitment to constantly improve and maintain the high standards of this organisation
  • Manage and stimulate your team and other staff members
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, confident with a strong work ethic

Salary:        Competitive
