Position: Senior Account Manager (Radio)
Location: Reading (RG2)
Salary: £24,000 - £30,000 per annum (£45,000 OTE)

Hours: Monday - Friday
Sector: Radio, Media Sales, Advertising Sales, Telesales, Field Sales



An exciting opportunity has arisen with a multi-award winning radio station in Reading, Berkshire who are recognised for their humour and eccentric on-air behaviour! These guys are seeking a hungry Senior Account Manager with experience of selling advertising to join this quirky commercial radio station.

Originally founded 15 years again, they are a staple part of local radio. They are witty, charming, bubbly and fun loving! Their humour is edgy and this plays a significant role in their quest to win listeners (and clients!). To be successful you must be willing to buy into the often 'unusual' and not be fearful of rejection! Clients who love the station will buy from you because they love everything that the station stands for and you need to be a strong advocate for the station. If you can achieve this, you will prove a success.

The best Account Managers are those that ensure they are out of the office, driving new business and managing relationships beyond the first point of sale. Repeat business is just as important as driving new business in this industry, so you will never be too far away from a local coffee shop or an evening at the football!

Set in a fantastic location that offers amazing views, this is a great opportunity for an experienced salesperson ideally with client facing experience in media sales, advertising sales or similar. Whilst sales experience is essential, personality will prove just as important to your future triumphs!

As a Senior Account Manager your day to day will be generating new business appointments in any way you see fit. Whether it's networking opportunities, recommendations, LinkedIn, emails, calls or face to face appointments, it's ultimately your role to advise, discuss and consult with every client to deliver a successful radio campaign.

Finally, whilst this opportunity is sales oriented, ultimately a huge personality, genuine sense of humour, friendly smile and a friendly telephone manner and the ability to push through a sale is of foremost importance.

  • A genuine interest in advertising/media sales
  • Experience of face to face client meetings
