Job Description

Our client, based in Fleet, is looking for a Sales and Marketing Support Specialist to join their team on a permanent basis ASAP!  This is a fabulous opportunity for an enthusiastic marketing/sales support-focused individual to add real value to a forward thinking company.  Starts ASAP!

As a Sales and Marketing Support Specialist, your role will involve:


  • Maintain and assist in the development of the company’s website and provide website performance analysis

  • Design and collaborate with others to create content of the monthly email news bulletin

  • Provide support in direction of product / service marketing campaigns in line with the marketing plan

  • Provide input and maintenance of annual marketing plan and activity log

  • Maintain and ensure prudent use of annual marketing budget

  • Attend and provide information and updates on marketing issues and plan activities at marketing meetings

  • Support creation of company literature and maintain literature inventory to support sales activities

  • Maintain email list and provide target audience analysis and activity management to assist in marketing campaigns

  • Provide support to identify and liaise with media outlets for editorial and advertising requirements

  • Maintenance and content support for social media sites

Sales Support

  • Respond to requests for quotations, ensure sales orders are processed and dispatched accurately and timely

  • Liaison and agreeing terms with couriers, maintain freight costing spreadsheet to ensure information is up to date

  • Manage quotation log, ensuring information is up to date and accurate and follow up information is provided

  • Provide analysis support of quotation performance and customer / product conversion rates and trends

Other Duties

  • Provide job cover for Company Accountant and Purchasing Manager when they’re out of the office

  • Assist with external year-end financial audit

  • Checking and maintaining stationery stock and kitchen supplies for the office

  • Ensure that all office equipment is maintained including telephones, fax, and photocopiers

  • Arrangement of company social activities

  • Management system monitoring, ensuring management system documentation is kept up to date and relevant

  • Ensure internal audit schedule are delivered to plan and in line with target objectives

Preferred Skills:

  • Must have good general education qualifications to ‘A’ level standard or equivalent with sales/ marketing office experience

  • If you’ve got a Business Degree with experience of sales and marketing functions within an engineering company this would be highly desirable

  • Must have working knowledge of Microsoft Office including being able to create Excel spreadsheets

  • Experience of using SAP Business 1 would be advantageous

  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills

  • Excellent organisational and time management skills

  • The ability to prioritise tasks and work under pressure

  • The ability to liaise well with others and delegate tasksThe ability to work on your own initiative

  • Superb attention to detail

  • Flexible and adaptable to changing workloads; problem-solving skills and project management ability

  • Must have own transport due to client’s location

Associated Benefits:

  • Salary c.25-28k pa

  • 23 days annual leave rising 1 day per year of service to 25 days

  • PRP scheme pays up to 10% of salary – based on 5% personal KPIs, 5% company profitability
