Award-winning agency seeks a high-calibre Qual/Quant Research Manager looking for a new challenge across a diverse brand portfolio

  • This Agency works with many of the UK’s leading retail and FMCG brands and continues to secure exciting new projects from well known high street names. They now have an opportunity for a talented Research Manager who has the creativity and drive to strengthen the team further.

You’ll be at the fore in helping top retailers develop and implement their customer-focused strategies​

  • As a well-experienced quant researcher with a solid understanding of qualitative methodologies, you’ll ensure clients receive water-tight solutions, and help drive an innovative approach through:
    • synthesising multiple strands of quantitative insight into strategic reports to be presented to senior audiences
    • advising on best techniques and methodologies regarding new research needs within the client business
    • briefing colleagues on chosen methodologies and helping set these projects up and conducting fieldwork as required
  • Variety is guaranteed as each case study is tailored to the client’s unique needs:
    • taking complex briefs, challenging in a constructive manner and identifying appropriate, inventive methodologies
    • preparing and writing client-ready proposals – and pitching these confidently and persuasively
    • overseeing the project and delivery of fieldwork – liaising with our Field and Data teams
    • creating and presenting insight-rich reports that identify the key messages emerging from often complex data sources – equipping clients for quick wins and long-term success
    • managing and strengthening client relationships, ensuring a real partnership approach and generating further business
  • Motivating your team and utilising personal strengths also falls under the Research Managers’ remit, and with the experience you’ve gained in your field you’ll lead by example and help to model best practice

We’re seeking a combination of ability, adaptability and leadership

  • Experience of delivering the crucial aspects of research detailed above is essential, while five broader attributes would also be very important:
  • a creative mind that can deliver bespoke, fresh research solutions – putting an engaging twist on issues that commonly confront leading brands
  • proven experience in designing and delivering projects and meeting deadlines
  • experience of moderating a range of qualitative methodologies including viewed focus groups
  • experience of running combined qual and quant methodologies
  • the skills to manage and inspire those with less experience
  • Previous retail, technology/telecoms, FMCG or travel-research experience is a bonus but this role is more about having a passion for these sectors and being in tune with current trends/the way consumers think
