The Quality Engineer will work within a key position in the business, being responsible for identifying suitable process monitoring and improvements in the production of materials and components.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Introducing suitable monitors and analysis of process and product data to identify trends and implement improvements
  • Utilizing quality tools to support effective resolution of process or produce non-conformities or improvements
  • Leading investigations, root cause identification, action plans and effectiveness assessments
  • Participating in the creation and/or review of management system documents
  • Providing quality input, support and guidance
  • Maintaining current measurement system analysis for production test equipment
  • Conducting internal and supplier audits
  • Administering the quality management software
  • Providing staff with quality training on management system and processes as required
  • Supporting Product Development in new product introduction

This role would suit an experienced Quality Engineer with an established background within lean manufacturing and six sigma methodologies, an entrepreneurial attitude and a bias for action to implement improvements and optimise processes and products.

Essential skills and experience include:

  • Solid experience gained from within a modern lean manufacturing environment
  • Experience of providing professional quality support within an ISO 9001 or comparable certified company
  • The ability to be hands on and troubleshoot complex manufacturing processes
  • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
  • Ability to use MS Office Packages including Excel
