Job Description

Primary function

Provide and analyse information as requested by the company directors

Delegate and assess daily/monthly department responsibilities

Attend meetings and conferences as required

Hands on daily supervision of the purchasing department, a team of 2/3

Monitor duty and freight to ensure the correct coding is used at all times

Monitor the back order report and back order value

Supervision and validation of stock adjustments, in and out

Oversee and organise the production and bill of materials

Prioritise container deliveries in accordance with the warehouse

Liaise with the warehouse supervisors to ensure backorders are released in a timely manner

Manager and report on obsolete and discontinued stock lines

Manage stock levels and supplier pricing

Book stock onto database from supplier deliveries

Check import duty invoices against correct commodity codes

Check supplier invoices match actual goods received and prices quoted

Arrange supplier shipments when required including containers full load and mixed load

Maintain the incoming shipments board for accurate freight and duty analysis

Supply new orders to accounts for cash flow analysis on a weekly basis

Maintain supply information

Ensure all buyers products are supplied in the correct company packaging, including CE markings and certification

Monitor quarantine stock and supplier return/credits

Liaise with reps and manage their stock accordingly

Update and monitor product issue report

Oversee ebay sales

Company contact for Birmingham stocking plans and stock counts

Oversee the annual stock check along with the sales director
