Our Global client is looking to employ a Commercial / Proposal Manager on an ongoing contract basis. This is a great opportunity to be involved with a reputable company, with the possibility to travel abroad to their customers’ sites once you have established yourself within the company.
You must demonstrate your past working experiences within a similar job role, dealing with tenders, bids, proposals, contracts and quotations in the region of between £100,000 and £20million.
Upon receipt of the enquiry / request from the client you need to be able to submit a detailed quotation / proposal, these will be both from Technical and Commercial sectors.
The successful candidate must be time conscious when submitting these tenders, communicate and be able to present to the client, and able to track and report on their progress to the Operations Manager. The successful tenders will be expected to be seen through from "cradle to grave", endeavouring to oversee the process and keeping the client up to date with that progress.
You must have an understanding of the Contract Terms. Have the mind-set of a quantity survivor, a keen eye for detail with an excellent customer service attitude and the ability to respond quickly and professionally to the customer requests. You will need to be organised, structured and be able to think outside the box.
Contribute to the monthly project review (Cost to Complete, revenues and margin forecasts).
To prepare interim and final statements of account for the Subcontract works detailing any outstanding and agreed variations.
The hours of work are Monday to Thursday 8am until 5.15pm and Friday 8am until 1pm. One hour for the Lunch break.

Salary in the region of up to £40k dependent on experience.
