Property Technician – South Norfolk – Excellent package + car
Property Technician required in South Norfolk to assist the Property Manager of a large manufacturing and national retailing company with the day-to-day facilities management and other property management issues within the head office, production facilities and national retail premises. The successful candidate will be able to provide practical advice and solutions to identified building management and maintenance problems and to manage minor capital and revenue property projects through to completion within budget and on time. You will also be expected to evaluate environmental, legal, and regulatory issues and advise on these as well as contributing to planning applications and other regulatory application procedures. Liaising with appropriate authorities when producing documentation for statutory approval, e.g. planning enquiries, building inspectors etc. Resolving issues with contractors. Carrying out site visits, reporting on work in progress, and finished results. Providing technical specification information and drawings for tendering of project works. Working within a service provider department with in-house and external clients to ensure the required departmental backup is provided at all times to the highest level.
To fulfil this role as a minimum requirement our client expects candidates to have an HNC or level 3 Diploma in construction and be working towards MCIAT. Ideally, you will already have the MCIAT qualification. Clearly, you will also be able to demonstrate knowledge of building construction and design and have a good knowledge of buildings regulations, DDA regulations, and planning application procedures. Good knowledge of CDM and Health and safety legislation related to construction related works is also necessary along with a general understanding of estate management issues e.g. leases, rents and rates, landlords/tenant requirements and responsibilities.
The role carries a salary of £27,000 per annum. There is a company car with the role together with 30 days holiday (inc bank holidays), life assurance, group personal pension, EAP, generous staff discount.
