The Role:

Reporting to the Senior Project Manager/Operations Director, we are looking for a Construction Project Manager to carry out the following tasks:-

  • Work on multiple projects with values of £100k to £5m

  • Be self-motivated and able to work on own initiative to deliver projects on time, within budget and to the high standards required

  • Work on projects across the UK, attending site meetings and acting as the main point of contact between the company and the client (office base in Southampton)

  • Main area of expertise lies within internal refurbishment and with small construction projects including commercial extensions to buildings and new builds

  • Full responsibility for management of all aspects of project delivery and control of the delivery team from early construction phases including overseeing procurement of sub-contractors; measurement, valuations and managing payment applications throughout the project; to final account.

  • Continue to build the company's reputation of exemplary construction standards and post completion customer experience

  • Note: If you are a construction project manager, or a quantity surveyor with a contracts background or a contract manager with a QS background, this role may suit


Experience, Skills and Qualifications required by the Construction Project Manager:

  • Proven, successful project and contracts management background in the construction industry

  • Ability to adapt to this fast paced environment and to actively enjoy a creative, solution and results orientated culture is paramount

  • Intellectual acumen combined with an enviable track record of delivery in a high performing business

  • Excellent technical and practical knowledge of construction methods, procurement and delivery of multiple projects simultaneously

  • Able to demonstrate a strong commercial track record, achieving profit on a regular basis and be able to manage target cost robustly and professionally on all projects.
