Project Manager – Leisure Construction

OTE £50-70k (dependent on qualifications and experience), plus pension, bonus, car/car allowance, healthcare

Established in 1994, with over 500 individual projects successfully delivered, we’re very different to the norm in the industry.  With a high customer focus and desire to be ‘top of the class’ in all that we do, we are now looking for like minded professional Project Managers to join our established team in an exceptional, growing and positive atmosphere.

Customer base is UK wide.  As the leader in our market sector, we specialise in construction and fit out of bespoke environments within the leisure and education sectors (projects ranging from £250k+ to £5m+ in value).  Offering diversity and variety for the work assigned, we enjoy long term, trusted client relationships and supplier partnerships, repeat business and referrals, all of which continue to increase our market share and continued growth.  As we undertake an increasing number of new assignments, these are gaining in size and complexity, all of which is immensely motivating for our team.

As a result of further expansion, we are now seeking to appoint additional Project Managers, who share the company ethos and DNA. 

The Role:  (full job description will be supplied prior to interview)

  • Managing bespoke projects

  • Managing site based teams

  • Managing all aspects of project delivery from early construction to final delivery

  • Provision of regular reports, interface and being an integral part of the senior team, being client facing to ensure all stakeholders are aware of each project status

  • Resource management (manpower and equipment)

  • Delegation and motivation to ensure the team reporting to you remain informed, motivated and able to complete each project to the highest standard

  • Financial and budget management

  • Attending weekly management meetings

Skills & Experience:

  • Background in construction industry – from ‘ground up’ to fit out

  • Technical and practical knowledge of construction methods

  • Procurement and delivery of multiple projects simultaneously

  • Proven successful track record of planning and time management

  • Strong commercial acumen

  • Problem solver - a good understanding of industry issues and how to resolve them

  • Previous relevant experience in construction, design and build

  • Organised, methodical, high attention to detail

Education / Qualifications:

  • Degree, HND in Construction (or similar), Engineering or other similar, relevant, related subject or professional qualification

  • Industry specific certifications to enable credibility and authority at sites

  • Desire to continue with ongoing personal development

Personal:

  • Instinctive, genuine people and customer focus

  • Well presented with excellent communication skills
