Invive Resourcing is recruiting for a Payroll Team Leader for one of the largest specialist accountancy organisations in the U.K. 

The  

Role Overview:

The successful candidate will take full responsibility for delivery of excellent operational standards in the transactional processing for the business, ensuring that all clients are paid accurately and in a timely manner. You will have responsibilty for the productivity, accuracy and motivation of your Payroll team and will also assist wth the development and implementation of improvements and changes in operational practices. 

The ideal candidate will currently hold or be sutdying towards a professional payroll qualification such as CIPP and must have management experience, in addition to this you will have a working knowledge of payroll processing and payroll statutory requirements. 

 

Key responsibilities:

  • Resolve customer queries within the agreed service charter
  • Continuous improvement withing the department
  • Coach and support team members identifying individual training requirements
  • Complete all reconciliations accurately and on time
  • Support the team regarding query escalation and resolutions
  • Monitor KPIs (Key Performance Indicators) 
  • Deputise for the Payroll Manager in their absence

Personal Specification:

  • You will have a knowledge of payroll issues
  • Understanding and knowledge of payroll legislation
  • Good analytical skills
  • Excellent organisational skills
  • Proficient in Excel, Word and Powerpoint
  • Able to work under pressure and excellent communication skills
