Award-winning agency seeks a Research Director looking for a new challenge across a diverse brand portfolio. Based in Leeds.

  • An opportunity has arisen for a talented, entrepreneurial Research Director with a keen eye for business development opportunities and a proven track record in growing client accounts

  • Thanks to our impressive client list, Research Directors at this Agency are responsible for leading high-profile client accounts and high-complexity projects
  • As an expert in quantitative research methodologies, you’ll direct the water-tight solutions that the Agency delivers
  • Your solid understanding of qualitative research will mean that you can also recommend and talk confidently about qualitative solutions
  • Responsible for building strong and commercially successful relationships with existing, senior-level client contacts
    • in particular growing one of our key clients – ensuring stakeholders are fully aware of the Agency’s capabilities, meaning we are always considered when new briefs arise
    • with future potential to, supported by our New Business Director, play a major role in seeking out, pitching for and winning new clients
  • We have more than our fair share of complex, high-value, strategic projects so you can be reassured that being a Regional Director will mean you are in a positon to influence the shape and direction of major UK brands

  • As well as developing your research expertise, as an RD your opinions are vital for longer-term business strategy and development within the company, and will:
    • be at the fore of developing techniques and analysis frameworks that recognise the power of customer emotion
    • drive innovative thinking, approaches and methodologies
    • help grow the business by identifying and maximising repeat and new business opportunities
  • As part of the senior team, you’ll also have an enviable opportunity to gain exposure to and knowledge of our ground-breaking approaches, our in-house data team and our on-site software development gurus

We’re seeking a combination of ability, adaptability and leadership

  • Experience of delivering the aspects of the role detailed above are essential, while four broader attributes would also be very important:
    • proven record of growing accounts, creating sales opportunities and selling complex, strategic research projects
    • a creative mind that can deliver bespoke, fresh research solutions – putting an engaging twist on issues that commonly confront leading brands
    • ability to build trusting relationships both internally and externally, communicating effectively with all levels
    • a strong team leader with the skills to manage and inspire those around them
  • Previous retail, technology/telecoms, FMCG or travel-research experience is a bonus – but this role is more about having a passion for, and being in-tune with, current trends and the way consumers think
