OVERVIEW OF ROLE
The Client, an integrated creative and digital marketing agency (part of the  Group a leading international corporate communications and production company), is extending its global reach through the growth of its country-based stuPurdios. 
This role within the production artworking team requires an experienced and technically very competent artworker. It is not a highly creative role, but requires a high level of technical expertise and an intelligent and thoughtful approach to artwork production for both print and digital. It requires someone who can analyse what is required from a brief and ask the right questions to ensure that the brief is met.
It is hybrid role that bridges the gap between full-blown digital development and production artworking using tools available within the core artworking programme, InDesign as well as other Adobe programmes designed to be used for digital publishing, such as Adobe Edge and the Digital Publishing Suite (DPS) tools integrated with InDesign. A working knowledge of other tools from the more specifically digital software such as After Effects, Adobe Muse, Adobe Flash and Adobe Premiere would be useful. 
Based at the  Office in Swizerland the role involves the preparation and amendment of artwork of diverse types and final outputs, including digital, for a specific healthcare . You may also be required to assist, when available, and as required, with work for a range of major blue chip s from sectors as diverse as fast-moving consumer goods (FMCG) and sport.
The digital production artworker will have ownership and responsibility for all assigned work. This involves developing an understanding of the  expectations,  corporate guidelines and particularly service level agreements (SLAs).
MAIN DUTIES / RESPONSIBILITIES
Own all digital artworking projects in terms of ensuring they are delivered in an optimal way using the technologies available to the production artworking team
Be involved in the way digital production projects are started and provide a point of liaison on these projects with the account management team
Working with extended creative and development teams as and when necessary, for example taking art direction when re-purposing or creating assets, or acting as a liaison for the artwork team when scoping new requirements
Create detailed process documentation (both for the account management team and the artworking team)
Create generic templates of digital publications for the account management team to help them understand what they will be presenting and selling to s as the agencies digital production offering
Create artwork templates for the Production team to use as a starting point for projects
oFor instance at the moment to create a graph in Edge requires a good working knowledge of Edge and also a basic grounding in JavaScript. Once a generic template is created an artworker could repurpose it for new jobs without having to learn JavaScript
Own the digital production processes and take responsibility for developing and enhancing them over time. 
Enhance his/her skills in digital-only areas (Edge and JavaScript initially, moving on to After Effects and C4D in time)
Continually research new methods of delivering digital content in order to keep up with developments in digital publishing and how they will influence the work we do
Learn and use the  digital delivery systems
Prepare and amend  artwork to defined corporate guidelines.

Prepare pdf proofs for proofing and  approval and print-ready pdfs for supply to printers.
Coordinate all proof reading for assigned s
Prioritise own workload to ensure deadlines are met
Undertake maintenance of Mac hardware and software
Maintain up-to-date knowledge of  brand guidelines, equipment, company and industry standards
Conduct all activities in compliance with company policies and standards
Conduct all activities in line with company safety standards and policies
Maintain effective relationships with other members of the Purple team and other business divisions within .

KEY SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED
Excellent, demonstrable artworking skills – candidates undergo a skills test
Quality conscious with excellent attention to detail
Current, work-related experience of artworking for print production
Comprehensive and up-to-date knowledge of commercial print production techniques  
Excellent organisational, planning, execution and time management skills
Able to work to tight deadlines and under pressure
Good written and verbal communication skills 
Good analytical and decision making skills within the confines of the role
Fully conversant with Mac hardware, operating system, file formats and digital transfer methods
Self-motivated, with strong interpersonal and organisation skills
Receptive to evolving  requirements for production-based digital output 
Able to solve problems and create solutions for s and co-workers
Knowledge of the digital production industry that stays apace of new developments in that field
Proactive in utilising free time to develop secondary-task digital artworking projects that benefit the studio team.

·Adobe Creative Cloud (CC) 2014 – competence in at least Creative Suite 6 is acceptable and it is essential that candidate can demonstrate competence in core software - InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop and Acrobat
