Digital Account Director

A new challenger engagement agency growing rapidly and winning a bunch of exciting Sports and Entertainment clients are looking to hire more fearless thinkers and doers to join the team. Their proposition is boldness with backup and they specialise in brand partnerships, experiences and storytelling. 

The Role

This is a unique opportunity to set up and shape they agency's digital division and build a world-class capability. Off the back of winning some significant pan European Olympic Sponsorship & Digital work, the agency is looking for ambitious candidates who are hungry to make their mark and throw themselves into this entrepreneurial role. The successful candidate will be a strategic thinker, and a bold doer with a passion for doing things differently. You will help  define  clients’ Olympic digital strategies and social activations, produce and distribute compelling content and moderate a range of diverse communities. Ideally, you will be passionate about Sports & Entertainment content and fluent in at least one other European language.

Desired Skills & Experience

Strategy

This is a client-facing role leading the clients’ strategy and activation plans. Key will be your ability to unearth human truths and translate those into inspiring strategies and ideas that people want to spend time with, talk about and share. You will understand brand strategy and have a proven track record of digital campaigns that hero’d the brand and product truth. You will be comfortable writing strategy, and building compelling content presentations and plans

Communications & Content

Develop, implement and manage community promotion and engagement programmes
Lead a team of local market community managers to coordinate community postings as appropriate across the business. Communicate best practise and new digital innovations and partners to the team
Contributes to related communication campaigns and ensures the integration of community at every relevant touch point.

Moderation

Develops the social listening strategy and manages the third party platform and relationship
Creates/manages the moderation and terms of use policies
Monitors discussions and refines our approach to maximise interaction and advocacy
Networks with community members and identifies Community Champions
Pioneers the latest approach to seeding and content distribution to ensure the agency stays ahead of industry developments.

Technologies

Maintains close relationships with partner agencies and industry bodies to ensure the agency remains at the forefront of new developments and trends. Provides thought leadership to clients on latest developments
Networks within the industry to manage a talent pool of technologists, production experts and freelance community managers as required on new projects

Skills

Proven experience in a pure digital and/or social media role
Curiosity for digital best practise and award winning work
Fluency in at least one other European language essential – German, French, Spanish or Italian
Keen interest and knowledge of sports and entertainment
Comfortable dealing with clients at all levels
Exceptional understanding of digital tools, technologies, platforms and stakeholders
Flexible approach to working hours is required (including weekends, bank holidays and unsociable hours if required)
Excellent communication, verbal and written
