Job Description

Database Analyst / 1st & 2nd Line Support  

Location: Aylesbury, Buckinghamshire 

Salary: £22,000 - £27,000 + Benefits
The Role:
Working 5 days a week including 1 Saturday and Sunday in every 3 weeks, you will be required to provide front line system support and data analysis for this national organisation with over 500 end users over several sites. Your role will also include the following tasks:
Provision of data analysis on databases, including creating self-service reporting tools and dashboards for departments as required
Front line support for all staff including, trouble-shooting user issues, user access and escalating issues to 3rd party providers
Liaison with the company’s IT support for managing seconded staff access
Management of the Asset Register, including ensuring assets are assigned appropriately and disposed of in accordance with policy and procedures
Support for tills and PDQ’s, including on weekends on a rota basis
Management of Active Directory 
System administration for software, including Gamma, Piranha, Sage, Keyprime, and other bespoke systems as required
Assisting with the development and maintenance of Sharepoint

Key Skills 

A degree in Computer Science, or equivalent relevant experience
It is essential that you are committed to working one weekend in every 3 weeks as part of the staff rota of a 5-day week (Wednesday to Sunday).
Full driving licence
Be able to plan, prioritise own workload to deliver a range of outputs required whilst also responding to ad hoc demands
Strong interpersonal and communication skills, particularly the ability to communicate with staff at all levels
Experience of working with Sharepoint
Knowledge or experience of working with SQL databases, including data analysis
Experience of Active Directory, Exchange, Hyper-V, DNS and DHCP is desirable
Experience of working in a remote desktop environment, Citrix is desirable
