Job Description

Responsibilities:

- Overseeing a team of staff supporting a Tier III data center enterprise, distributed critical Network and IT facilities and MT's office accommodation portfolio
- Managing data center physical infrastructure engineering and design
- Managing data center capacity planning and expansion project management 
- Overseeing DCM software feature/functionality management and user support 
- Playing a leadership role in setting data center vision, mission and strategy for on-premise data centres as well as co-location data centre
- Creating and maintaining data center capacity and status dashboards
- Provide resources to support  access to MT Data Centres
- Driving change in line with the Company's business plan 

Requirements:

- Significant industry recognised qualifications in relevant fields e.g. Degree/HNC/D
- Effective Management qualification or relevant experience 
- Bachelor's degree engineering, IT or related field
- 3 + years supervisory experience overseeing Electrical, Mechanical and Building trades in a mission critical, 24x7 tier 4 data centre environment
-3+ years hands on technical experience with commercial HVAC, BAS controls, electrical, mechanical or equivalent
-Understanding of design, operation, and commissioning of Data Centre mechanical and electrical systems including chillers, cooling towers, air handling units, UPS systems, electrical switch gear and electrical circuit breakers, power strips, controls & monitoring systems, and life safety systems
-3+ years' experience in 24x7 Building Operations
-Business continuity and disaster recovery experience
-3+ years project management/financial management experience
-Knowledge of construction techniques and terminology including the ability to read and interpret blueprints, construction drawings and documents is essential
-Advanced experience in vendor management, ability to manage and monitor progress to ensure objectives are achieved for outsourced maintenance and projects
-Technical expertise in the principals of cooling, air flow, and temperature/humidity relationships
-Technical expertise in Data Centre efficiency initiatives/technologies
-Technical expertise/experience with predictive maintenance methodologies
-Technical expertise with building automation and controls systems
-Technical understanding of network topologies, components and facility requirements
-Working knowledge of Computer-aided design software and proficiency in Microsoft Office software
-Security management & ISO 27001 compliance experience
