Julie Rose Recruitment is looking for an experienced Data Analyst Manager to join a recognised financial services company, to cover a Maternity Contract.
Hours: 35 hrs working week Monday – Friday : 9.00 – 17.00
Location: Dartford
Salary: Up to £50,000
Benefits: Pension, insurances and annual/quarterly bonus
Holidays: 23 days (rising to 28 following 5 years’ service)
Duties for the Data Analyst Manager:
- Responsibility for delivering the data analytics required to support the business. The focus will be on the identification and delivery of specific data analytics
- Working closely with the marketing, operations and risk teams
- Responsibility for extracting the information from SQL Server and MySQL database, developing T-SQL Stored procedures and working with the managers on the reports and integration of certain software tools with our databases
- You will work with the Business Intelligence (BI) and Risk department, in constant contact with the Operations Director. As a result, there is an opportunity to gain a wide range of knowledge across all the departments of the business, including underwriting, risk, marketing etc
Personal Specification for the Data Analyst Manager:
- You are qualified to degree level or equivalent with demonstrable experience in data analysis, SQL coding
- Excellent at relationship building skills, with the ability to communicate effectively at all levels within the organisation
- Able to manage the day to day department activities and workflow, deal with attendance and disciplinary issues and report on performance against KPI’s and department targets
- Candidates must have previous experience of managing a team for at least three years
Experience for the Data Analyst Manager:
- SQL coding skills – Experience in developing SQL code (in SQL Server and MySQL database) to explore and validate data sources, applying numerous filters and manipulating data to the required output format.
- Report development, MI and BI reporting
- Knowledge of PhP and VBA would be beneficial but is not a requirement
- Analytics – Experience analysing large datasets
- Working experience in marketing or financial services would be an advantage
- Effective Management of direct reports – at least three years of management experience
