Manufacturing Continuous Improvement Manager

Hereford, up to £65,000 (dependent on experience), bonus, pension, BUPA, life assurance,

Heavy Industrial Manufacturing

Working for a well established, world leading innovator and manufacturer in its sector, the Manufacturing Continuous Improvement Manager will assist with the development and delivery of the site improvement strategy to establish, maintain, and improve the performance of company products and processes.

This role will suit someone coming from an Automotive or other ‘fast pace’ heavy manufacturing environment

Role Responsibilities:

The Manufacturing Continuous Improvement Manager will:

  • Identify process and product improvement opportunities in conjunction with Process Improvement Engineers and Operations Managers
  • Prepare a plan/cost benefit analysis, setting priorities and resources required to achieve identified improvement projects
  • Ensure improvement objectives, goals, measures, and metrics are established for each improvement project
  • Drive the progress of planned improvement implementations to ensure expected benefits are achieved  within the agreed timescales
  • Develop reports of overall Manufacturing Process and CI activities including accomplishments, projected activities and recommendations for change within the business
  • Communicate key lessons learned and best practices from improvement projects
  • Actively promote Manufacturing Process Improvement and CI to all employees
  • Work in collaboration with other sites and facilities to benchmark processes and identify and establish best practices within our location

Education and Experience

  • Degree educated
  • Previous experience in the Automotive sector (desirable) 
  • Previous experience in a continuous improvement/manufacturing process improvement role
  • Six Sigma Black Belt (desirable)
  • Proven problem-solving skills, analytical skills and attention to detail
  • Proven ability to engage the shop floor employees, and encourage them to adopt new approaches
  • Excellent organizational skills and the ability to work on several tasks or projects concurrently
  • Commercial acumen


Salary up to £65,000 per annum (dependent on experience), bonus, pension, life assurance 4 x salary, healthcare, free parking, subsidized gym membership, relocation assistance (if required) and more
