Job Description

A leading specialist manufacturer of parts to the petrochemical industry is seeking a compliance engineer to join their team. The role is based in Camberley and is working Monday to Friday 08.00  - 16.30 offering a salary of £33,000 per annum, 25 days holiday plus Bank Holidays and enhanced pension.

The business is dynamic and customer driven, and their people are critical to their success. The compliance team are the builders, ambassadors and core of the business systems, responsible for the management and control of business systems and compliance, and communication of objectives to colleagues.  The main requirements of this role is to ensure that all goods in parts are inspected to stringent rules and regulations, control of supplier non-conformance; updating of data and document management; updating of regulatory database. The role will suit someone with a background in quality where inspection, auditing and statistical data management is critical.

Job Role:

Specialist skills:

  • Knowledge of ISO9001, ISO14001 & ISO45001 (formally OHSAS 18001)

  • ATEX/Ex requirements at a base level and knowledge of issues affecting operations and the requirements of IEC 80079-34

  • Auditing and confirming to compliance objectives

  • Ability to read engineering and technical drawings

  • Proven experience using measuring equipment i.e. verniers, calipers and gauges

Preferred Skills:

  • Ability to motivate, communicate and influence others

  • Confident and adaptable, flexible leadership and management style.Able to manage conflict and demonstrate negotiation and persuasiveness

  • Risk awareness and report writing

  • Solid experience in data/document management and statistical analysis
