Job Description

Commercial Finance Manager wanted for a Global Media Service provider. The Finance Manager will be the Finance Business Partner to the UK Post Production Leadership team, own the monthly Reporting process and facilitate the month. The Finance Manager will be instrumental in ensuring the accuracy of the financial statements, as well as working with the leadership team to deliver and communicate results in a timely manner to the President, Post Production Services. 


Finance Manager responsibilities include:

  • Provide financial support to the Business leaders:
  • Drive the preparation of the business unit budget, forecasts and management reporting
  • Revenue recognition and invoicing along with managing Post Production billings resources
  • Drive the business unit actual performance review, analysis of variance of results, including Working Capital and Free Cash Flow
  • Responsible for the project accounting of all projects, ensuring accurate revenue recognition, optimizing margins and enabling the producers to deliver profitable projects
  • Work with the shared functions such as accounting (FSSC), credit management, taxes, treasury and setting up profit / costs centers ensuring that key financial controls are in place and the accounts are delivered accurately and on time
  • Actively participate in Bid/RFP process for new business or contract renewals, including responsibility for financial modelling
  • Review and control capex requests and prepare investment cases for review
  • Control OPEX and outsourcing spend and accruals, and track distribution across lines of business
  • Prepare calculations for incentive programs (sales, talent)
  • Monitor and report of resource utilization (requires knowledge of Scheduall system)


Finance Manager, skills and requirements:

  • Degree in finance, accounting or similar (e.g. mathematics)
  • 8 years + in relevant finance role
  • 3 years + exp in fp&a at senior level
  • Full accountancy qualification, ACCA
  • Media services/film/tv background - essential
