The Commercial Assistant Construction job and opportunity itself which is a varied all-round support role including Procurement / Accounting, Office and Site Administration.
This is an entry level role, likely Temporary to Permanent, with every possibility of job expansion and future promotions. Firstly, the role is responsible for procurement - Buying / renting of materials, tools, plant and equipment for civil engineering jobs / sites both locally to Bristol & UK wide. Ensuring plant is off hired when jobs complete, liasing with site managers/foremen, obtain copy delivery notes – confirmation off hire notes etc. Secondly, Accounts Administration – posting P/L & S/L invoices/bank transactions/ timesheets/ expenses, some balance sheet reconciliations. Thirdly Site Administration – Produce tracker reports, chase weekly timesheets, adhoc admin filing etc. Lastly - Office Administration - reception/ answer phone, maintaining enquiry database/ outstanding enquiry lists in excel, adhoc office/estimating admin including MD’s typing.
You will have
To be successful as Commercial Assistant Construction you will have:
- Experience in procurement, purchasing or buying.
- Construction / engineering industry experience
- Ability to demonstrate commercial/ financial skills.
- Strong numeracy, literacy, and organisation skills.
- Team player willing to tackle general administration.
