Position Title Business Analyst Department IT Location (country) UK/ Warwickshire Report to Global Applications Manager Effective date August 2016 Objectives of role The Business Analyst will execute and support development initiatives of deployed business systems for the organisation, with a primary focus on IFS and EDI. This position will provide user support of the IFS application suite and provide process and systems analysis in support of process improvement initiatives within the organisation's businesses under the direction of the Global Applications Manager. The ideal candidate will serve as project lead for future assigned modifications and enhancements. Key Responsibilities • Provide application support for IFS ERP suite. • Implement and monitor EDI systems, including data mapping, translation and interface • Coordinate relations with and serve as a liaison to internal users, vendors and other external partners with respect to data interchange standards • Perform system testing and quality control checks • Develop and maintain EDI documentation Additional Tasks • As assigned Contact with others • This position involves continuous contact with internal users, IT group members, and external vendors Requirements This position requires a strong professional commitment to the customer coupled with an understanding of ERP applications flow and EDI. Demonstrated highly effective interpersonal and communication skills, including the ability to work with information technology professionals and business customers; Strong organizational, planning, and analysis skills with demonstrated ability to work on multiple assignments, manage outcome in conformance with IT Department goals and objectives that produce positive results and meet assignment deadlines. Attention to accuracy and detail; Effective working knowledge of SQL or PL/SQL; Practical technical product knowledge including Microsoft Office, Microsoft Outlook and maintenance utilities; Demonstrated ability to utilize time management skills and to effectively adapt to changing priorities; Effective customer service skills and ability to handle multiple tasks and time pressures; Ability to problem solve and effectively prioritize work, with the ability to balance attention between details and overall business objectives; Clear and effective written and oral communication skills; ability to communicate effectively and professionally with associates at all levels; Demonstrated ability to follow established policies and procedures; Committed to and actively works to continually improve. Candidate should have a solid background in information systems technology and working knowledge of data communication protocols. They must be detail-oriented, have excellent problem-solving skills and have the ability to work independently. A bachelor’s degree in computer science or a related discipline is required in addition to several years of IT-related experience, plus three or more years with EDI systems administration, design, analysis and development.
