Job Description

Working with the Head of UK Proposal Centre to ensure tenders and proposals are written in a manner that best represents our clientand exceeds the key criteria set by commissioners

Contribute to national and regional opportunities as a valued team member, providing in depth analysis of the funding bodies key drivers and provide appropriate USPs and Win Themes in order to add value and submission of the most competitive and compliant bid.

Work with the Heads of Business Development, to gather technical data from internal departments and Regional Operational teams and interpret this into compelling prose ensuring that a visionary and bespoke solution is provided

To support the Commercial Opportunity Manager to ensure that the Business Development Pipeline is kept accurate and up to date and to produce specialist and ad hoc reports on pipeline progress in their absence

CORE RESPONSIBILITIES

1.

Proof-reading of work and materials created by other team members, providing constructive feedback that ensures the highest standard of bid submission

2

Provide technical and commercial writing skills, displaying creative flair in tender submissions without compromising on presenting operationally achievable bid commitments

3.

Support the production of specialist and ad hoc reports and ensure that all reporting requirements are met and produced on time.

 

4.

Receive and deal with enquiries from colleagues concerning both current and historical tenders, developing a detailed knowledge of our clients products and services with the ability to produce completing tenders that reflect the unique offer

 

 

QUALIFICATIONS, SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE OR EXPERIENCE:

ESSENTIAL

  • Experience of working in a busy bid writing environment, under pressure with the ability to manage multiple stakeholder needs and demands on time
  • Experience of using a wide range of tender portals to upload tender submissions against deadlines
  • Spelling and grammar must be of a very high standard
  • Strong computer skills in Word, Excel and Outlook
  • Experience of working to both internal and external deadlines
  • High level of accuracy and attention to detail required with ability to work quickly and efficiently
  • Editing, proof-reading and report formatting skills

DESIRABLE

  • Educated to degree level or equivalent
