Assistant Technical Services Manager 
Nr Bracknell 
Full Time Permanent
Salary: £22,000 - £28,000 p.a. + excellent benefits

Our client, a stunning mansion house situated close to Bracknell  and they are looking for an Assistant Technical Services Manager to help run and maintain their property.  The venue is ideally situated just outside of London and due to the location is popular for business guests as well as leisure who are looking for an exceptional experience. 

Job details:

To assist the Technical Services Manager with the smooth running of the department & property by ensuring the building is safe and well maintained at all times. Assisting with the development of the department, making improvements with any Hotel installations, guest rooms and facilities. Ensure that all statutory regulations and requirements are applied and adhered too, as well as ensuring all H&S documentation and records are kept up to date and in correct order.

Role Responsibility includes:

Deputise for Technical Services Manager as appropriate at management meetings, contractor meetings
Act as liaison between hotel and outside contractors or technical services on major projects.
Manage repair and maintenance response times necessary to ensure customer satisfaction.
Understand the importance of building, maintenance and repair techniques increasing guest satisfaction in meeting and event areas.
Report any problems/complaints to the Technical Services Manager.
To implement energy saving procedures and to ensure consistent compliance by  hotel
Monitors utility bills to ensure charges are correct.
Responsible for assisting in preparing the Property & Maintenance and utilities annual budget and preparing monthly forecasts.
Conduct regular equipment checks and preventive maintenance reporting to minimize replacement costs.
Comply with Company purchasing procedures, utilising nominated suppliers and to provide feedback to procurement and 
Oversee the refurbishment of public areas, bedrooms, mechanical and electrical plant.
When required be available to assist the maintenance operations at other group hotels
Be knowledgeable of and comply with legislation and regulations pertaining to repair and maintenance e.g. building structure, decoration, gas, electric, sewerage, water.
To comply with all statutory testing requirements of boilers, emergency lighting, hose reel and extinguishers, dry risers, fixed electrical installation inspections, portable appliance testing, duty of care (waste disposal), exit signage, licensing inspections, generator maintenance, ups testing, gas installations, ansul system, lift inspections, COSHH workshop air quality testing and any other systems that apply at any time during the employment period.

The Ideal Candidate

Hotel experience, similar sized property
Assistant Manager level or  Senior Shift Engineer with minimum 2 years experience
Worked along side contractors
Mixed engineering skills to include:- electrical, plumbing, HVAC, Spa pool operations & H&S qualification at CIEH Intermediate level or equivalent
Work well under pressure in fast paced environments
Be able to demonstrate a strategic mindset and be able to manage multiple projects effectively.
Good financial understanding
Computer skills - Excel, Word, Outlook
