To drive Technical focus and strategy for the site, ensuring effective maintenance of all relevant legal, third party and industry codes of practices and regulations.
Managing the development of the Technical team delivering continuous improvement in products, process and personnel, ensuring successful customer and product management.

Ensure best value and cost effective use of resources to ensure efficiency on site
Reporting to the Technical Manager
Responsible for the day to day coordination of the technical process development team.
Ensuring all processes and procedures are fully compliant with BRC, legislative and customer codes of practice.
Work with NPD/ Customers on concept development to ensure products are commercially viable.
Lead projects & Ensure factory trials are well scheduled into production.
Ensure customer specifications and new products ranges are delivered in a timely manner.
In conjunction with the senior management team, contribute to the formulation of the business strategies for the company and create the company’s technical operating plans
Actively promote adherence to Quality, Food Safety, GMP and HACCP standards to achieve a finished product within quality control specifications
Manage the company’s quality standards and procedures, monitoring, controlling and updating existing quality systems
Demonstrate skills and knowledge of HACCP, BRC, GMP, KPI’s.
Provide continual leadership and guidance to team members for the purpose of increasing their effectiveness and establishing good working relationships
Develop existing HACCP and TACCP systems in line with legislative requirements for the industry and recognised standards as appropriate
Manage BRC, customer audits and conduct supplier compliance inspections
Monitor and Investigation of customer complaints ensuring close out actions and adherence to set targets
Maintain systems for checking, validating and verifying process compliance
Facilitate the development of analytical methods and sampling procedures
Deliver Technical reports to the business and customers as required.
Review Technical policies, procedures and standards ensuring legislative updates are applied and adhered to
Manage external relationships with customer, laboratories or other organisations for the purpose of acquiring knowledge or access to technology
People management of the Technical team, supporting managers in employee relations matters and escalating where appropriate
Manage the technical budget to meet business stratergies.
