Job Description

Our client is looking for an experienced, results-driven sales professional to join their sales team as a Sales Manager. The successful candidate will be developing and growing new and existing business within the construction industry, tendering for works via a selection of M&E clients. You'll be responsible for obtaining new opportunities within this sector as well as building relationships with existing M&E clients you are given. You'll also be responsible for preparing quotations, costings and converting them into sales. As a focused and determined individual, you'll have a proven track record and a willingness to listen, learn and succeed. You'll reside in London or the Home Counties, although initially you'll be based in our client's Basingstoke office. Starts ASAP.

As a Sales Manager you'll be responsible for:

* Identifying new business opportunities and successfully maximising revenue from them
* Running your own customer accounts
* Making cold calls and attending meetings as required to expand your customer base
* Quoting for orders and closing sales
* Preparing tenders
* Area of operation is London and the South although projects tendered for these clients will not always be local to where they are situated

Essential Skills:

* A demonstrable history of maximising new business opportunities and achieving targets
* The ability to prepare quotations from tender drawings and specifications issued by M&E clients
* Knowledge and experience of the fire alarm and security systems industry is essential
* A confident and assertive communicator with strong listening and negotiation skills
* Plenty of self-motivation and highly organised
* Knowledge of preparing tenders for electrical contractors would be desirable

Associated Benefits:

* Basic salary 29 - 34k pa, uncapped commission
* Quarterly bonus structure in addition to the above (based on meeting and exceeding targets)

* 21 days annual leave per year increasing by 1 day per year up to total of 25 days
* Hours 8.30am - 5.30pm
