Application Support Analyst

Due to the secure nature of the work, all candidates must hold or be eligible to hold UK Security Clearance to SC level or higher.
Essential experience required:
Our client requires two Application Support Analysts to work with a large public sector client.
You will have experience of supporting mission critical applications, incident management and troubleshooting but full training and knowledge transfer will be provided. Experience within a 3rd line support / development environment would be beneficial but not compulsory. You will be a strong communicator, and be comfortable escalating and managing issues and applying code fixes where necessary.
The role will require someone who can confidently demonstrate experience and knowledge of SQL, PL/SQL, .Net, Automation, MS SharePoint & Java. Desirable additional experience would include previous experience of using IT Service Management tools (Remedy, Service Now), and DevOps technologies such as Docker, Jenkins and GraphQL.
You will work in a shift pattern between 7am and 7pm and provide out of hours support on a rota basis.
Job role responsibilities:
You will provide functional user and client support across a range of applications systems and will be proactive in monitoring systems and ensure remedial action is taken where necessary. Working on your own initiative, you will be required to troubleshoot issues and errors and update the event log and trace through errors. You will provide incident support for all main systems for our public sector client.
