This 5-star hotel situated in the New Forest, Hampshire is looking for permanent, dedicated and passionate, customer focused Assistant Restaurant Manager, offering award-winning guest services.
The Hotel is laid-back luxury at its best, a stunning building set in the middle of the New Forest landscape, where ancillary duties could be extremely varied.
A multi-award-winning 32 bed hotel with a restaurant which has a different approach to hospitality, fine dining has been thrown out and replaced with a fun dining experience which includes seasonal, locally sourced and fresh British food with an Italian twist.

Key Features of the Role:
As Assistant Restaurant Manager, you will be in charge of all FOH, guest interaction and high-quality customer service in the hotel restaurant when it comes to all food and beverage service, and it is essential that you are a confident and committed individual, that is comfortable following directions from Senior Management, working alone, or in a team if required, as well as managing and supervising others in your team.
You must be able to adapt to different situations that develop, ensuring all the guest’s needs are catered for, always.
Assistant Restaurant Manager is a permanent full time position working 45-50 hours per week, with 2 days off per week, shift times can vary depending on the business needs, with a mixture of split and straight shifts.
Using your customer service skills and front of house hospitality supervisory or managerial experience to achieve positive results with hotel guests, who are enjoying the amazing Italian restaurant and fully licenced bar.
Being visible, approachable and engaging with guests during the shift is a key requirement in this role, carrying out the basic hospitality principles that a professional high-quality 5-Star and award-winning restaurant expect, in an exciting and friendly work environment.
Helping to lead the daily operations, supporting the Restaurant General Manager by supervising the performance of the team, and taking responsibility when the Restaurant General Manager is absent.
Knowledge and Skills Required:
Previous accomplished and knowledgeable Assistant Restaurant Manager or Supervisor experienced in a similar hotel or restaurant environment.
Previous experience working in a high-quality, fine dining, rosette or Michelin award-winning restaurant venue and busy environment is ideal.
Experience covering in the Restaurant or General Managers absence, where you are relied upon to produce high-quality guest experiences and lead a team of up to 20 staff.
Good communication and people management skills are essential, as well as confidence to handle guest complaints, tough situations and demanding solutions, attention to detail, accessible and visible to guests and team, whilst maintaining an informal accessible visage.
Must have your own transport to get to the venue for interview and work, as no reliable public transport links and no live-in accommodation available.

A basic salary on offer ranging from £20K - £25K per annum. In addition, you will be entitled to a Tronc payment, potential overtime.
Training on anything from, Bar, Sommelier, Kitchen, and Management to Bee Keeping or helicopter landing skills and everything else in-between.
Opportunity to work the Ski Season in France at the Companies Hotel resort or take advantage of the Hotels access fine dining summer cruises around the world a number of exclusive super yachts.
Working 5 days a week, 45-50 hours base per week, working splits and straight shifts depending on the Hotel’s needs, 2 days off per week.
Holiday entitlement is 20 days plus all bank and public holidays, rising by 1 day each year for 5 years.
