The Company and the Role:
The company is an ever-growing fresh food business providing bespoke contract catering services to the education and business sectors
They believe in making food a pleasurable and appealing part of school life which adds value to the reputation and, above all, something that the pupils, staff and visitors will enjoy. They understand that their food service needs to reflect the high standards of education provided to the pupils and that it should become an integrated part of the whole school experience.
They are looking for a food focused Catering Operations Manager who has both strong focus and passion for amazing food. This role is full time, permanent.
Overall the role is all about the successful management of various units, as required.  Providing direct management and support to sites and assuming operational responsibility for sites as necessary, maintaining company and client standards of HSE, food service and professionalism at all times.

Key Features of the Role:
• Delivery of high standards and first-class modern catering service
• Lead, develop and motivate all team members within each unit
• Provide a leadership function to teams and to motivate staff to achieve production goals
• Ensuring teams strive for continuous improvement
• Ensure the business is adequately resourced
• Training Operations  Support Managers and Unit Managers to ensure that everyone is performing to the best of their ability
• Assisting Chef Managers with financial performance on site, ensuring unit budgets are met and Chef Managers have a full understanding of the site budget
• Ensuring food quality and standards of service are to company and  client standards
• Build strong and productive relationships with Directors and Management of all levels throughout the business
• Ensuring completion of appraisals, investigations, coaching and all HR procedures providing support as required
• Carry out all recruitment process interviews, inductions and team training as required
Knowledge and Skills:
• Be an accomplished Contract Catering Manager with experience of managing multi-sites / multi contracts
• You will understand how you  can make a difference and know what good looks like
• Hungry to take on responsibility, have  a great ‘can do’ attitude
• A genuine passion for outstanding food and impeccable standards.
• A great leader, proven motivator, able to achieve production goals.
• Able to demonstrate that you are a team player
• Have the ability to build and maintain strong client relationships
• Excellent knowledge all regulations relating to HSE and food safety making sure that the company and client standards meet UK legislations
• Confident in approach, have self-awareness and the ability to approach and be approached both by clients and employees.
• Understanding the financial aspect of the industry and be good on delivering budgets.
